The Annual WARC Field Day will be held this year at the Town Square in Headland. We'd like to invite everyone to come out, join us, and get on the air. We'll be operating 24 hours again this year and will have 2 stations set up to operate from.

On the weekend of May 7th - May 9th, Amateurs from around the area are getting together for a camping trip at FDR Campground in Pine Mountain Georgia. We'll be setting up a couple stations to operate for fun as well as hiking up the mountain for a little QRP. If you'd like to participate we'd love to have you along. If you're not interested in operating but just want to come along for a relaxing weekend of camping thats great too! Just drop me a line at MYCALL at ARRL.NET and we'll add you to the roster.

It’s that time of year again and the Wiregrass Amateur Radio Club is holding its Spring Tailgate again this year on Saturday April 17, 2010 in the Headland Town Square. We’ll be opening at 8:00 am CST and running until 2:00 pm CST. Some of us will also be meeting for breakfast again at Hardees in Headland around 7:00 am CST. Bring out your collection of goodies to pass around or just bring yourself if you’re looking to expand your collection of gear.
Come out and join us and make this another great Spring Tailgate!

On the weekend of March 26th - March 28th, members of the Wiregrass Amateur Radio Club and the Enterprise Amateur Radio Society are participating in a special event at the Peanut Festival Fairgrounds commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Boy Scouts. We'll be setting up a couple HF and VHF/UHF stations to demonstrate Amateur Radio, raise interest in the community and get some scouts on the air! The event will be open to the public on Saturday March 27th from 9:30 am until 4:00 pm but we will be operating for much of the duration of the event. Please come out and join us and show your support.

The 3rd weekend in October ( 16th - 18th ) this year will be the annual Jamboree on the Air. The Wiregrass Amatuer Radio Club will be participating again this year with a number of volenteers already signed up! This year's event will be held at Camp Ala-Flo. Directions can be had by clicking here. This is a great oppertunity to help spread the spirit and excitement of Ham Radio with the younger generation and get them involved.

The Wiregrass Amatuer Radio Club is having their annual Tailgate on Saturday October 3rd, 2009. It will be starting at 8:00 am in the town square in Headland. They are looking forward to have another great turnout this year! In attendance this year will be "Ham World" from North Alabama bringing with them a large selection of antennas, cables, and other parts everyone regularly uses and needs. Bring your parts list!
Want to participate by bring gear to sell? Come join the WARC and other local area hams. We would love to have you! The WARC is asking for a small donation of $5.00 for setting up a table at the tailgate.
Anyone who wishes to meet early for breakfast can do so at the usual meeting place, Hardees in Headland at 7:30.
As usual there is no cost to attend and there will be a raffle for various prizes including 2 $50 gift certificates.
